International Korean Educators Network (IKEN) developed the KECOS Korean Online Program in 2015 with support from the Korean government. In 2015, when the KECOS Online Course was developed, the original Moodle Platform was used, but in 2020, it was switched to the most widely used Schoology Platform. IKEN received A-G accreditation from the University of California Office of President (UCOP) in 2021.
The KECOS Korean Program is provided free of charge to public schools in the United States where Korean is available. The program requires each user to log in with a user code to prevent leakage of student information, attendance records and grades.
