Foundation

The International Korean Educators Network was founded in 2010 with a mission to create a systematic support network of educators who are in the field of Korean language and culture education for K-12 students. IKEN aims to strengthen our students’ identity through Korean language and cultural education, and become global citizens of the future. IKEN has taken an active role in supporting Korean language and culture educators in various types of school models such as the Korean Dual Language Programs, Korean as a world language in secondary schools, and Korean community language schools around the world. IKEN partners with various policy makers and community partners in order to fulfill its mission.
